Best Practices in Domestic Sourcing
For over two decades, sourcing for services across both IT and Business Process sectors has gone global. This shift has caused vigorous debate among industry, government, and the media on the impact of globalization on U.S. innovation, and the socio-economic effect on the U.S. workforce. In response, IT services providers have been examining ways to deliver more cost effective IT solutions domestically by looking at new U.S. locations as potential sourcing destinations. This webinar provided information for those who are currently or may be considering purchasing development assistance from a third party provider, whether that be for applications, web, mobile, systems , or for any IT project. It frames how creating a project plan and a set of objectives is just a start. This webinar identified several best practices in handling outsourced projects, such as:
- fulfilling the project vision
- marshalling the right resources
- establishing accurate budgetary requirements
- preparing your team
- selecting an outsourcing vendor
- finalizing the partnership agreement
