TW Scott is vice president of Mission and Operations Services, a business unit of Raytheon Company’s Intelligence and Information Systems (IIS). Scott is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction, as well as driving customer-focused industry best practices and best-of-breed information technology solutions for global communities that enable mission objectives.
Before assuming this position, Scott served as the chief information officer for IIS. He was responsible for the delivery of critical infrastructure services and enterprise systems, ensuring synergy across the corporation and providing strategic focus in support of IIS business initiatives. Scott chaired the Raytheon CIO Cabinet, a strategic initiative that provides the CIOs from various business units the opportunity to discuss and collaborate on technology that affects the whole company. As a prior CIO, Scott understands the challenges and opportunities facing today’s world governments and their respective industry partners.
Scott joined Raytheon in May 2005, from Northrop Grumman, where he served as head of Business Operations for its Electronic Systems sector. In that position, he ensured the efficient planning, execution and completion of all aspects of the sector’s business plan including global field engineering and successful program execution. Scott championed the standardization of processes, systems infrastructures and consolidated systems to support the sector’s acquisition, integration, and enterprise resource planning activities during the sector’s growth from a $1 billion to $6.6 billion operation.
During his ten years at Northrop Grumman, Scott also served as sector CIO of Electronics and head of the Supply Chain Management business unit within the Logistics Services and Materials division supporting customers and programs worldwide.
Previously, Scott held positions in information systems, logistics and business management. With a strong background in computer science and mechanical engineering, he successfully founded and managed a $48 million information systems business start-up operation and divestiture. Scott has leveraged his strengths in global solutions, systems engineering, six sigma processes and personnel management. He has service marked several business practices and participates as an author, presenter and panel member for information solutions and supply chain management issues.
Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland and has continued his education through certificate of merits from both UCLA and Harvard University School of Business. Scott was recognized as one of Computerworld’s Premier 100 IT Leaders. He is an active member of the Governing Body for the CIO Executive Summit, as well as leading global industry associations, including the Association for Enterprise Integration (AFEI) and the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA). Scott served as vice chairman of Administration and executive member of the board for the Boy Scouts of America.
