5:30 pm – 7:00 pm Networking & Cocktails
7:00 pm – 9:15 pm Dinner

On June 16, 2010 the TechAmerica Foundation hosted its Eighth Annual Technology and Government Dinner.  The event is the premier Washington, D.C. networking event bringing hundreds of industry, congressional and government leaders together at one venue to celebrate the partnership between industry and government.

In past years, many guests have joined the TechAmerica Foundation (then AeA) for the sold-out event to hear keynote addresses from top executives from such major technology companies as:  Google, Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, Research in Motion, Xerox Corporation, Adobe Systems Incorporated and Motorola Corporation.

This year’s speakers was the American Technology Corporate Leadership Award winner, Arthur W. Coviello, Jr., Executive Vice President, EMC Corporation and President, RSA, The Security Division of EMC and the American Technology Award Government Leadership Award winner, David M. Wennergren, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Information Management and Technology & DoD Deputy Chief Information Officer.  TechAmerica Foundation was honored to continue the tradition and we were excited to honor both a corporate leader and a government leader at our dinner.

To begin the evening, we held our American Technology Awards Reception which bestows the only “Best Of” awards that recognized all technology products and services for the technology industry.  Nominations for The American Technology Awards “The Termans” are vetted by industry experts and technology companies.  These awards have been named after Frederick Terman, who is widely credited as being the father of Silicon Valley.
