Washington, DC (August 2, 2010) – Washington, DC  –  TechAmerica Foundation today announced the full membership of the Commission on Government Technology Opportunity in the 21st Century (GTO-21) on the morning of the body’s inaugural session. The group of leading technology management and procurement experts from industry and academia met today for the first of several working sessions to produce recommendations for improving the purchase and implementation of large-scale IT systems by the federal government.

“TechAmerica Foundation is proud to support such an impressive collection of expertise in this Commission,” said TechAmerica Foundation Chairman Phil Bond. “This is a serious effort to produce actionable recommendations for attainable, meaningful change in the way the government manages large-scale IT implementations. We look forward to helping the Commissioners produce their recommendations by Oct. 1 in time for the Administration to factor them into its FY 2012 budget planning.”
