Roberta S. Terkowitz


Roberta S. TerkowitzBobbi Terkowitz joined IBM Corporation in 2001 as a Client Manager. She is currently the Federal Cloud Lead, engaged in business development for IBM’s cloud-driven Smarter Planet initiatives. Prior to joining IBM, Ms. Terkowitz worked for Memorex Corporation, Amdahl Corporation, and ViON Corporation in a variety of roles including systems engineering manager, product manager, sales representative, and director of marketing. She also worked for two years for OBLOG, a Portuguese software company, as president of their US subsidiary. In 2008, Ms. Terkowitz was one of the first participants in IBM’s Corporate Service Corps, often described as a corporate mini-Peace Corps, and worked for the African Wildlife Foundation in Tanzania on sustainable livelihoods for villagers in buffer zones around the national parks.

Ms. Terkowitz has been a team lead for the TechAmerica Foundation’s Vision Conference (and its predecessor, Government Electronics and Information Technology Association) for several years, serves as the Chair of TechAmerica’s Strategic Forecast Council, and was one of the authors of the Industry Advisory Council’s study group paper on Metrics for Electronic Records Management. Earlier in her career, she was very active in the Computer Measurement Group, and both presented frequently and served on the program committee for their annual conference.

A native of New London, CT, Ms. Terkowitz graduated from Middlebury College with a Bachelor of Arts in History. She sits on the Board of Trustees of the Studio Theatre in Washington, DC and facilitates a support group under the auspices of Y-ME, whose mission is to ensure no one faces breast cancer alone.
