Opportunities in Domestic IT Sourcing: Think Globally, Act Locally
September 30, 2009 – Washington, DC
In today’s economic climate, everyone must find ways to work smarter, and in a more efficient manner. Companies, governments and others need the best talent at affordable rates, and many enterprises have moved to a global delivery model to innovate and execute on a 24/7 cycle. Sometimes, however, some of the best resources available to companies are often overlooked and right next door.
At this lunch forum, participants heard what technology and government leaders have to say about the opportunities and challenges in sourcing IT work to lower-cost communities in the United States. Many are finding ways to support and revitalize the economy starting in their own backyards. The event was hosted by TechAmerica Foundation, the Northern Virginia Technology Council and the Technology Council of Maryland.
