Joan Piccariello

Vice President, Market Forecasting

Joan Piccariello is Vice President, Market Forecasting, of the TechAmerica Foundation.  Joan Piccariello joined GEIA in May, 2005 and arrived at the TechAmerica Foundation through the GEIA merger with ITAA and AeA.  Ms. Piccariello coordinates preparation for the annual Vision Conference with a concentration in civil agencies and assists in all the conferences and forums presented by the TechAmerica Foundation Strategic Forecast Council.

Ms. Piccariello was previously with Northrop Grumman Mission Systems where she served as a Senior Market Analyst.  Prior to that she was with the Raytheon Company, (formerly Hughes Aircraft) serving in the Corporate Strategy Group.  Ms. Piccariello was a Financial Representative for Amdahl Corporation.  She also worked in both the Government Systems Group and the General Motors Division of Electronic Data Systems.

While at Raytheon, Ms. Piccariello participated on the Defense Team of the Vision Conference.  She co-chaired the Vision Defense Conference in 2001 and 2002.  In 2004 she served as Chair of the GEIA Requirements Council (now known as the TechAmerica Strategic Forecast Council) of which she has been a member since 1998.  Ms. Piccariello was awarded the GEIA Chairman’s Award for distinguished service in November, 2004.

Ms. Piccariello graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.  She resides in Arlington, Virginia with her husband Harry and their son Joseph.
