2011 West Coast Vision Conference

Overview
The TechAmerica Foundation will be hosting a one day conference November 10th in San Diego based on the findings of the two day Vision Conference, which is held annually in the Washington, DC area.
Many companies use the information to develop their annual operating and long range strategic plans. The 2nd annual West Coast Vision Conference will deliver a comprehensive and useful analysis of federal spending and future business opportunities.
Don’t be left out wondering where the dollars and business opportunities can be found!
Keynotes Announced!
The Honorable Jerry Sanders of San Diego has been announced as the morning Keynote Speaker on November 10th. As mayor, Sanders has increased financial accountability at the city by replacing the city’s collection of obsolete and incompatible computer systems with a single Enterprise Management Program that enables transparency in accounting and fiscal oversight of departments. In addition to his broad reform agenda, Sanders has placed a high priority on economic growth and job creation during his time in office. Specifically, the mayor has been a champion of the region’s promising clean technology industry – including solar energy, biofuels and other environmentally friendly products. Sanders will complete his second and final term in December 2012.
Gary Wang, CIO, Corporate Operations Lead, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, has been announced as the Luncheon Keynote Speaker on November 10th. Gary Wang, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is SPAWAR’s Director of Corporate Operations and Chief Information Officer. He is responsible for developing and implementing a corporate information technology strategy to provide an end-to-end operational capability for more than 12,000 employees across a worldwide organization. His responsibilities include network management, information assurance, application management, data and knowledge management and information technology policy for SPAWAR.
